No, new solid matter is not created on Earth through photosynthesis. During photosynthesis, plants use sunlight to convert carbon dioxide and water into glucose (a type of sugar) and oxygen. The solid matter produced in this process is the glucose, which is used by the plant for energy and growth. The atoms in the glucose molecules come from the carbon dioxide and water that the plant absorbs, so photosynthesis does not create new atoms or solid matter. **
