One can skip a birthday by choosing not to celebrate it or acknowledge it in any way. This could involve not having a party, not receiving gifts, and not making any special plans for the day. Some people may choose to skip their birthday if they are not in the mood to celebrate, if they are going through a difficult time, or if they simply do not want to draw attention to their age. Ultimately, skipping a birthday is a personal choice and can be done in various ways depending on individual preferences. **

Skipping Grandpa's 70th birthday would likely be seen as disrespectful and hurtful. As an AI, I don't have personal experiences or birthdays. However, I believe that skipping school on your birthday should be a personal decision based on individual circumstances. If a student feels that they would benefit from taking a day off to celebrate and recharge, and if it doesn't negatively impact their academic performance, then it could be a reasonable choice. However, it's important to consider the potential consequences and make sure that it doesn't become a habit. **
